It is universally accepted fact that every physical entity has a beginning and an end. And these two events are referred as Birth and Death in case of living entities. Birth of living organism happens when organic molecules combined together, and Death happens when they decay to an extent not to hold a life. Thus, Death results in ‘Fracturing’ of tissues into molecules which once came together to form a life.
But our Spiritual Beliefs
remind us that every life form has something which Death can’t touch. We know
it as ‘Soul’. And it just changes physical manifestation after death[1]. But if death can’t touch
it how a soul can ever be fractured? After all, ‘Soul’ is neither matter nor
physical. But the title of this work suggests ‘Something, The Soul’ is
‘Fractured’. A fracture in tissue of living organism may cause pain for life
but if ‘Soul’ is fractured it can continue to hurt till eternity if it does not
heal.
As per rational beliefs
‘Soul’ does not exist as it is not tangible. Hence, it does not make sense to
have notion of ‘Fractured Soul’. Rationality further tells us that only matter or
physical can be fractured. And that’s why we accept the well-known principle
that:
“Energy can neither be
created nor DESTROYED.”
So, will it be safe to
assume that ‘Soul’ is non-matter; a piece of energy; a meta physical entity.
And this understanding matches with the pieces of knowledge available to us in
almost all religious beliefs. But the question still remains, if ‘Soul’ is meta-physical
how it can be ruptured?
To answer this question,
it is important for us to revisit how the universe was born. We will address
this question in lieu of well accepted theory of ‘Big Bang’. Big Bang states
that universe was born with a release of huge amount of energy and light[2]. And many entities were
formed including matter, which were thrown away in all directions because of
‘Big Bang Explosion’.
It should be safe to
assume that before ‘Big Bang’ every entity whether matter or non-matter or
physical was contained in a ‘container[3]’. It can be further
assumed that all were connected and were present in each other vicinity. And
when entities got separated, each entity carried only a few characteristics of
the container. The probability of any entity carrying all characteristics of
container should be almost zero else we would have observed such containers in
our universe. Since container was source of all the entities, let us call it
‘Source’ for further discussion.
Since, everything we
comprehend came to existence after Big Bang, so it is safe to assume origin of ‘Soul’
similar to other observable entities. Thus, even soul got separated from
source. And since source got fractured soul carried the same characteristic,
hence the notion ‘The Fractured Soul’. This may seem as leap of faith but I
just wanted to give an insight that we can’t negate the possibility of ‘The
Fractured Soul’.
But the question is why
‘Fractured Soul’. The reason is to make human realize following:
· We are separated[4] from ‘The Source’.
· This separation[5] has made us to suffer and
is the real reason behind our pains. And we need to determine, realize and
accept it. That is our only hope for healing.
